Equity Estates is a property development and investment company which was founded in 1995.

It has predominantly developed and invested in industrial and commercial property. The company developed a large, “A” grade office portfolio in the northern suburbs of Gauteng and sold the portfolio to Growthpoint in 2014.

The main focus of the company currently is its investment in Equity Estates (United Kingdom) and in Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd. Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd is the developer of the Menlyn Maine Precinct in Pretoria and the co-developer of the new regional shopping mall in Ballito known as Ballito Junction.

The company has also successfully completed three developments in the Western Cape over the last few years. They are the Old Match Factory in Observatory, the Newcourt Alphen and Newcourt Steenberg.

CARL JANKOWITZ

Managing Director

Carl is the Managing Director of the company. He obtained a BA LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch and an MBA degree from Wits Business School. He served articles at Werksmans Attorneys and he joined the company in 1997.
